Osoyoos All-Stars & Canucks Alumni Share Memorable Day at Sun Bowl Arena

For an ideal example of the Canucks Alumni providing a testament to the ongoing connection between professional hockey and grassroots sport in our province, look no further than the Sun Bowl Arena in Osoyoos, BC.

Organized in partnership with the Osoyoos Rotary Club and the Osoyoos Coyotes, an exhibition game between the Canucks Alumni and Osoyoos All-Stars was a big hit with South Okanagan fans this past September. It began with a meet-and-greet and autograph session before the opening face-off, much to the delight of fans of all ages.

The Alumni roster included familiar names such as Doug Bodger, Greg Adams, Chris Higgins, Aaron Volpatti, Dave Babych, Ron Flockhart, Cliff Ronning and Chad Brownlee. Organized in partnership with the Osoyoos Rotary Club, proceeds went directly to youth hockey programs in the region.

A special thank-you nod goes to Neil Eisenhut, whose local roots and dedication played a key role along with Rotarians and a hard-working team of committed volunteers in staging the All-star extravaganza.

And last but certainly not least, we extend our heartfelt appreciate to Canucks Alumni supporter, Larry Racanello as this incredible event would not have bee possible without his financial support.

It was all in the spirit of saluting the great game of hockey in the South Okanagan with the Alumni players unanimously expressing a desire to return to the Sun Bowl Arena for future fundraisers.
