Shoresy Classic Raises $55,000 for the Canucks Alumni Foundation
Rogers Arena played host to one of the most entertaining and heartwarming Canucks Alumni games of the last decade on January 26, 2026. The Shoresy Classic featured the cast of the hit TV show Shoresy as the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, as they faced off against a star-studded Vancouver Canucks Alumni line-up in a fast-paced, high-scoring charity showdown.
Fans were treated to a unique blend of hockey skill and comedic energy as Jared Keeso (Shoresy) and Terry Ryan (Hitch) led the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs through the game. Their roster also featured a mix of actors and former pros including Jon Mirasty, Jordan Nolan, Brandon Nolan, Jonathan Diaby, Max Bouffard, Andrew Antsanen, Ryan McDonnell, Jacob Smith, Keegan Long, Bourke Cazabon, and Frederick Roy.
Across the ice, the Canucks Alumni roster legends brought their signature skill and experience, and featured Daniel and Henrik Sedin for the first-time ever in Canucks Alumni jerseys. The Alumni roster also included fan favourites Kirk McLean, Cliff Ronning, Geoff Courtnall, Chris Higgins, Adrian Aucoin, Kyle Wellwood, Greg Adams, Mike Sillinger, and three-time Olympic gold medalist Meghan Agosta, plus many more. Between the pipes, Eddie Läck delivered key saves to help secure a 10-9 win.
Behind the bench, Dave Babych, Stan Smyl, and Jyrki Lumme guided the Alumni squad as honorary coaches.
While the on-ice action delivered unforgettable entertainment, the real win came in the form of community impact. The Shoresy Classic raised an incredible $55,000 for the Canucks Alumni Foundation in support of Athletics 4 Kids, Boys & Girls Club of BC, and the Canucks Alumni Scholarship Program. Each of these programs helps provide access to sport, mentorship, and educational opportunities for youth across British Columbia, making a meaningful difference far beyond the rink.
